Geekocracy Talk Cast: Nate Powell

Posted by themason

A short interview with Nate Powell, or as I call him, Nate Pow(erfu)ll.

You can check out the interview by looking up Geekocracy Talk Cast on iTunes, by subscribing to the podcast through browsers here, or by downloading it directly.

Nate’s the creator of the Top Shelf book Swallow Me Whole, which is totally amazing by the way. I was going to place an image of the cover in this post, but decided to go with a myspace-sque pic of Nate and I at SPACE, the small comic-con in Columbus, Ohio. Why? Because it proves that we’re both very, very un-photogenic. We actually took a couple of pictures and, well, this was the best. Can ya believe that?

(Nate’s the handsome one)

No, this isn’t a real post…

I’m just gonna take a moment to whore myself out, you guys don’t mind, right?

Places you can see me (in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio) the next few weeks:

Reading from a student publication at good ol’ Columbia college tomorrow. If you were wondering, yes, there will be cake. Time: 4 to 6. Check it out.

This weekend I’ll be at SPACE, table 88, and on Sunday I’ll  be leading a panel on “comics in the future” at noon. So, you know, come listen to me talk about jet packs.

Next Thursday, the 23rd, I’m hosting Chaos Week: Comedy Crack up, again at the good, ol’ Columbia Chicago. Main guest is Liam “Kelly” Sullivan, famous for his youtube videos that are viewed in the bazillions. Also there will be the Droppin’ Science Improv team.

More to come…

Remove the cob-webs…

Posted by themason

Rudy and I recoreded a short podcast last night and threw it up on iTunes on both the Geekocracy Video Podcast and Geekocracy Audio Podcast, even though there’s only audio. I’m gonna get rid of one of those, haven’t decided which yet though.

This new podcast… or rather return to the old podcast, will be weekly… Except for next week because I’ll be on Columbus, Ohio attending SPACE.
