Happy Holidays!
Posted by themasonWhen I used to work in the retail business, which I suppose was not long ago at all, customers used to lean in close to me and say, “It’s ok, you can say it,” after I told them to have a happy holiday. For those of you who don’t get it, the customer was trying to get me to say merry christmas, but on the down low, you know, in case the P.C. nazis were listening. Well, never in retail was I told not to say merry Christmas, saying happy holidays was completely my fucking choice. I would say, “No, that’s ok, I’ll stick with happy holidays,” but they would insist! “Go on,” they would say, “You can say it, it’s ok.” But I didn’t want to guys, I DIDN’T WANT TO.
That story has absolutely nothing to do with comics. This does though!
