Posted by themasonYo, bitch! When’s the last time you watched yourself some Charlie Brown Christmas? Has it been awhile? Is your memory of this wonderful creation as good as the actual product?
Maybe! I forgot how bitchy all the characters are, not bitchy in a child-like way, but bitchy in an adult-like way. But ain’t tha part of the charm? Yeah, I guess so, adult-like kids who have the same weight on their shoulder as adults, yet less actual responsibilities and slightly (sometimes) different priorities.
When’d Charlie Brown become all religious on my ass? I was raised as a heathen (no, not Jewish, or Buddhist or Muslim, or any non-Christian religion, just without religion) so it surprises me that I didn’t notice any religious overtones as a kid. I didn’t. I loved it then.
And now? I still love it. Go out and watch it. Laugh to yourself. You deserve it.
